BEBIG CIA 245 Measurements

All of the required measurements are provided in the data sheets that come with your plaque. You will need to find these three documents that came with your plaque:

  1. Certificate for sealed radioactive sources
  2. Protocol of measurements page 1
  3. Protocol of measurements page 2

On the certificate for sealed radioactive sources you will find the total apparent activity in the plaque and its calibration date. In the example below for plaque COB 932 the measured activity was 19.0 MBq on October 31, 2011.

CIA245CertificateTestReport

On page 1 of the protocol of measurements (appendix to the certificate) you will find a central axis calibration graph and a table. In the example below for plaque CIA 245 the measured dose rate is 107 mGy/min at 0.6 mm, 95.2 mGy/min at 1.0 mm, and so on. The measurements hilighted in yellow are the ones that are used by PS. You will need all the measurements from the upper table (0.6 to 10.0 mm) and the extrapolated dose rate at 0.0 mm from the lower table (130 mGy/min in this example).

CIA245ProtocolCAXData

On page 2 of the protocol of measurements (appendix to the certificate) you will find surface homogeneity measurements. The measurements hilighted in yellow are the ones that are used by PS.
