This dialog is used to calibrate a CT, MR or fundus image. It is accessed from the upper Calib button in the Images window.

Before opening this dialog, you must activate and position one of Plaque Simulator's (PS) ruler tools. For CT images, fit the PS CT ruler to the cm scale in the image, (or any object in the image of known dimensions, typically about 50 mm). Adjust the ruler diameter by dragging the yellow control boxes until the diameter of the circle fits the known object. The example to the right is an OsiriX reconstruction of the meridian plane intersecting the tumor apex. The diameter of the PS ruler represents 5 cm according to the green calibration rulers in the image.

After fitting the PS ruler to the image calibration ruler, click the Calib button and enter the diameter in mm (e.g. 50 mm in this example) in the Calibrate dialog. If there are both horizontal and vertical rulers, you can deactivate the 1:1 image ratio and perform individual calibrations.
