Label Clustering

When a new isodose label is about to be printed, the area it will occupy is tested for collision with the area occupied by previously drawn labels plus a small surrounding margin for each label. If the new label will overlap an existing label, the new label's printing position is shifted along the isodose line until an unoccupied area is found.

Note: the interactive labeling sliders are easier to access than these menu items.

Label Spread

When an isodose curve is plotted, potential labeling points are cached and sorted by distance from the center of the retinal diagram. A narrow setting tends to pull those labels towards the center of the diagram.
