The tumor appearance menu in the Setup Appearance window offers several options for modeling and displaying the tumor.

This group of items selects the 3D rendering method
- Translucent - the tumor surface is rendered translucently.
- Opaque - the tumor surface is opaque.
- Edges - the tumor surface is drawn in wireframe.
- Texture - the fundus photo collage is applied to the tumor surface as an OpenGL texture.
This group of items selects the shape of the tumor
- Peak - the tumor has a conical shape, sloping linearly from its apex to the perimeter at its base.
- Dome - the tumor is dome shaped, this is the default appearance.
- Mushroom - the tumor is shaped like a mushroom or ball.
- Custom Shape... - opens the tumor shape parameters dialog to customize the shape.
