The Dose Calc. Options menu controls which factors are applied to the dose calculation. YOU SHOULD VERIFY THE SETTINGS IN THIS MENU PRIOR TO PERFORMING A DOSE CALCULATION !!! The affected factors are anisotropy, linear vs point source, a correction for plaques with silicone carriers, a scatter correction, lip collimation, slot collimation, and dose constants.
- COMS calculation - forces dose calculation to use the COMS formalism. Disabled by default.
- Anisotropy F(φ) - enables source anisotropy. Enabled by default for plaques with source slots.
- Linear sources - Enables linear sources. Enabled by default for plaques with source slots.
- Carrier Attenuation - enable correction for COMS plaque carriers. Enabled by default for COMS plaques.
- Scatter - this hierarchical menu accesses dosimetric corrections which attempt to compensate for the lack of a homogeneous full scatter geometry.
- Near Field - .
- Shell collimation - enables collimation of primary radiation which passes through the plaque shell. Enabled by default.
- Slot collimation - collimates primary radiation which passes outside of slots in the plaque surface. Disabled by default.
- Partial exposure - Calculates fraction of primary radiation from a linear source which does not pass through the shell. Enabled by default.
- Penumbra - Enables estimation of penumbral edges. Disabled by default.
