Profiles

When a measuring tool is enabled and the reports preview window is set to Profile, a pixel density profile across the 16-bit monochrome dataset is generated. Each measurement tool creates a different profile:

Profiles are sampled at a user definable frequency using bilinear interpolation of the 16-bit data. The default sampling rate is 20 samples per cm (ie a sample is taken every 0.05 cm). Mean and standard deviation of the pixel densities along the path are optionally calculated and displayed. The measuring tool can be nudged using the arrow keys and a profile can be copied to the clipboard for export to a spreadsheet (see tips & tricks).
