Peripheral seed orientations are radial rather than circumferential. The radial orientation allows this plaque to adapt to tall and large tumors with more complex shapes than the model 2442 can handle.
Seeds become progressively shallower with distance from the center of the plaque to improve dose homogeneity at the edges of the plaque.
